Welcome to Design Blitz — a whirlwind 30-minute decorating challenge where fast thinking meets fun design! You’ll be creating brand-new rooms inspired by two of MegaPlanet’s newest limited-time items:

🕒 WHEN & HOW IT WORKS
There are two rounds, each lasting just 30 minutes. You may choose to compete in one or both rounds. You’ll build completely from scratch — no editing or recycling old rooms allowed!

🎵 ROUND 1 – The Jukebox Challenge

Create a vibrant room inspired by music, retro energy, or dance floor dreams. Think lounges, diners, or peaceful jam studios — just don’t place the jukebox. Think like it’s on the way, and your room should be ready to welcome it.
🏆 Winner receives the Jukebox + 2,500 Credits.

Picture a room where this whimsical aquarium would shine — whether it’s a cozy undersea escape, treasure trove, or nautical-themed living space. Again — don’t place the item. Just design the dream scene around it.
🏆 Winner receives the Ship Aquarium + 5,000 Credits.
🗣️ Winner of Round 2 will be announced at 4:05 PM PST / 12:05 AM BST, after all submissions have been reviewed and scored.

🧾 ENTRY RULES
• 🆓 No entry fee – this event is totally free to join!
• Cheating is heavily discouraged and will lead to immediate disqualification. Remember the fun & friendly competition ❤️
• 👍 You must “thumbs up” this Forum post or in the Discord announcement if you plan to enter. I will also ensure I am on your buddy list in game for joining. Entry will also not be valid unless we’re added in game, I will reach out to you if needed! To make things easier if you do not see my name in your buddy list comment on this post and we can meet in game.
• Random room audits will be conducted for property checks to ensure your rooms will not be pre-created
• 🏗️ No prebuilt rooms — your room must be made during the 30-minute timer. No locked rooms during the round or you will be disqualified, live pop ins will be conducted to every player until the clock is up. Room rating numbers will be monitored to combat cheating.
• 💎 Only one pre-order item allowed per room — choose your piece wisely

👩🏼⚖️ HOW YOU’LL BE JUDGED
Designs will be scored with a lighthearted but thoughtful touch in these three categories — all equally important:
• Aesthetic (10 points) – Is the room visually pleasing? Great layout, color use, and flow?
• Creativity (10 points) – Did you try something bold, surprising, or unexpected?
• Theme Execution (10 points) – Does your room feel like the perfect home for the item?
✨ Judges may also name a Judge’s Favorite in each round just for fun!
🏁 Tiebreaker:
If players tie in total points, the winner will be chosen based on the judges’ overall favorite — the room that left the strongest impression as a complete design.
