Update 8 is Now Live in MegaPlanet!
We're excited to bring you Update 8 which introduces new features, quality of life improvements, alongside a community requested change. Check out the main changes and additions including the full list of patch notes below:
🗓️ Daily Tasks
A new Daily Tasks feature has been added, allowing you to track activities that earn XP and Credits. We plan to expand this system with more tasks and rewards in future updates.
💖 More LUV!
The number of LUV you can share with other players has increased from 3 to 5. You can now also track your LUV sharing progress directly from the Daily Tasks list.
👗 Universal Outfits
Through player feedback, the Space Suit, Santa Suit, Wedding Outfits, and Slippers are now universal and available for both body types.
✨ Shimmer Toggle
The shimmer effect on Rare Collectables and items from the Gold Collection is now classified as a particle effect. You can toggle it on or off within the Settings.
💻 Hide UI Toggle
The ability to hide the UI can now be toggled by pressing the TAB key, this handy feature allows you to make clear screenshots of your pads in both play and edit mode– we hope to see you share your creations with us on our forum and keep an eye out for Pad Contests with plenty of gold, credits and items to be won!

- Rare Item shimmer is now classified as a particle effect, and therefore can be disabled by disabling particle effects in settings.
- Pressing TAB will now toggle the UI hidden/visible in both play & edit mode. Users can open chat before hiding UI to keep Chat only visible.
- Made wedding outfits available for both body types
- Made Space Suit outfit available for both body types
- Made slippers available for both body types
- Made Santa outfit available for both body types
- Made doctor outfit available for both body types
- Fix for Wedding Head Table Runner causing incorrect collisions
- Fix for user info sometimes not immediatly updating
- Fix for the incorrect error message showing when trying to block a user by a username that does not exist
- Fix for not being able to click on player info in the community park
- Fix for menu buttons activating behind the player info tab
- Fix for Luxury Living Office Desk not having the correct collisions
- Fix for hard crash usually after accessing the properties panel
- Fix for Feminine Player Model skin tone sometimes changing when walking
- Brightened up the Putting Station Textures
- Added daily tasks list
- Giving Luv now gives 10 XP
- Raised daily Luv cap to 5
- Room ratings are now capped to 50 per day
- Gold Events now give 15 XP
- Credit Events now give 5 XP
- Fixed store item ordering for expired items (now ordered correctly by expiry date
